Do you find yourself wishing you knew more about those people you often sit next to at Aboite? Are you afraid to introduce yourself for fear you should already know their name(s)? Do you often walk away from church feeling disconnected? Do you wish someone would take the time to get to know you better?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, we have exciting news for you! We are continuing our LiF (pronounced "LIFE") Groups. LiF Groups consist of approximately 8 adults, or 3 or 4 families, who will be grouped together for the purpose of sharing a meal 3 or 4 times over a span of months; March, April, May, & June. We strongly encourage groups to gather for meals in homes to foster fellowship, though the group can determine what locations work best.
We are passionate about this opportunity because of the great need we all have to be connected while in the midst of our separate journeys. Life has a way of bringing about many experiences that can be made so much more meaningful when we are sharing them with others who share the same godly values and concerns.
We are well aware of today's hectic schedules, so we would encourage the meal to be a joint effort, such as a dish from each household. It is our desire for couples, singles, and children, to all have the opportunity to participate. Whether in a home, apartment, or restaurant, the purpose is not the location - it is the time spent with other followers of Christ that counts!
We are starting the sign up period on February 5th. Last day to sign up is Sunday, Feb 19th. If you have been involved in LiF groups previously, you may be listed on the sheets at Community Central. Please circle Yes or No to indicate your renewed participation & if you would like to serve as a Host this period.
